Durian Brownies

Durian is not called the “King of Fruits” for nothing! When I tried durian for the first time, it was truly an incomparable taste experience! The taste of durian is almost impossible to describe—it’s a crazy explosion of flavors. From vanilla pudding and ice cream to cheese cream, it has a bit of everything! You simply have to experience it for yourself. Durian on its own is already a royal treat, but if you want to make even more out of it, these brownies are just right. Definitely a very special delicacy.

If you have trouble finding fresh durian, I can recommend my favorite durian HERE. If you order using this link with my code Lena10, you’ll save 10% on your purchase ;)

Durian Brownies

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Total time: 6 hours (freezing)

Ingredients:

  • 10 frozen bananas
  • 6-8 durian segments*
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 6 Dark Choc Diamonds

    Preparation:

Blend the bananas into ice cream. Add the cocoa and melted Dark Choc Diamonds and mix thoroughly again until the ice cream mixture is evenly brown. Line a small rectangular dish with parchment paper or plastic wrap, add half of the ice cream, and smooth it out. Then spread the durian segments over the ice cream layer. Finally, add the remaining ice cream as a third layer on top of the durian. Freeze everything for at least 6 hours (preferably overnight). Cut the frozen cake into squares and serve immediately.*If you cannot get durian, you can instead soak 2 cups of cashews and blend them with 4 dates to make a cream (without the soaking water). This cream can then replace the durian in this recipe.
