Fruit, Fructose, and Fatty Liver: Why We Must Defend Fruit!

In the modern nutrition debate, fructose is one of the most controversial nutrients. While many low-carb or keto approaches portray fruit sugar as a driver of metabolic diseases, the reality is quite different.
Fructose from natural fruit does not make you sick; on the contrary, it is a central component of an optimal human diet.

Long-time raw foodists, health experts, and doctors also know that fruit can never harm you.
Personalities such as:

  • Robert Morse
  • Anthony William
  • Eli Martyr
  • Loren Lockman
  • Douglas N. Graham

have long understood that fruit is not the problem—it is the solution!

The Laws of Nature

The human body has a powerful ability to heal itself when given the right natural conditions.

These conditions include:

  • plant-based nutrition
  • plenty of raw fruit, tender green leafy vegetables, and optional vegetables
  • little fat
  • movement, sun, and sleep
  • fasting or detox phases

Fruit is the natural staple food of humans, as it is easy to digest, water-rich, and energy-rich.

The Role of Fruit in Species-Appropriate Nutrition

The well-known 80-10-10 diet is based on the following concept:

  • about 80% of calories from carbohydrates, mainly from fruit
  • about 10% from protein
  • about 10% from fat

This diet is high-carb and low-fat and uses fruit as the primary energy source.
A low fat content enables efficient glucose utilization and prevents metabolic problems.

Why Fructose from Fruit Is Not Harmful

1. The Context of Fructose

Fructose in fruit is not isolated.

Fruit also contains:

  • fiber
  • water
  • polyphenols
  • vitamins
  • antioxidants

This combination changes the metabolic effect. Studies show that fructose from whole fruit works differently than fructose from highly processed foods or soft drinks. They cannot be compared! There is also no study showing that fructose from whole fruit can be harmful in any way or, as is often claimed, lead to fatty liver!

2. The Problem Is Not Carbohydrates, But Fat

Too much fat in the blood hinders glucose utilization.

  1. High fat intake → fatty acids in the blood
  2. insulin effect is reduced
  3. sugar has a harder time entering the cells
  4. sugar remains in the blood or is converted into fat

High-fat diets promote metabolic problems, but a high-carbohydrate fruit-based diet does not.

3. Observations from My Years of Raw Food Experience

  • People on fruit-based raw food diets are always slim
  • These people report improved energy
  • metabolic diseases do not occur
  • fatty liver is impossible for a fruit-based raw foodist

Industrial Fructose

Many studies link high amounts of added fructose (e.g., from soft drinks or high-fructose corn syrup) with:

  • fatty liver
  • insulin resistance
  • metabolic syndrome

One reason is that excessive fructose can be converted into fat in the liver.
So anyone who thinks they can equate isolated fructose with natural fructose from fruit is gravely mistaken!!
It is a completely different thing! One is extremely harmful, the other heals!

Fructose from Whole Fruit

Some studies show:

  • There is no proven link between fruit consumption and NAFLD (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease/fatty liver)
  • Even protective/healing effects from fiber, vitamins, antioxidants, and much more
  • The higher the fruit consumption in the diet, the faster people recover

A Realistic Conclusion

Fruit is the ideal human food and medicine for the human species. Representatives like Robert Morse also know that fruit "detoxifies" the body and reverses diseases.

  1. Whole fruit is healthy, necessary, and the only suitable food for humans, without side effects.
  2. The most problematic fructose sources are highly processed foods and sweet drinks from the chemistry lab, not from nature! What comes from nature and is intended as food for us cannot be harmful.
  3. Health depends on the overall diet and lifestyle—not on a single nutrient. Chronic stress, lack of sleep, dissatisfaction, lack of exercise... all of this definitely leads to fatty liver faster than any fruit ever could.

✅ In short:
Fruit is the number one nutrient source for the human species and can never be associated with fatty liver. Fructose from fruit never leads to fatty liver, and a pure fruit diet can heal "diseases." And you don't need scientific studies for that, just common sense—then you simply try it on your own body and suddenly understand it!

*If you have never properly cleansed your gut, you should do so to be able to optimally digest and utilize fruit in the first place. This is only possible with a special juice fast protocol. Because the juice recipes must be designed and taken correctly so that the astringent effect can unfold and old deposits are finally loosened and eliminated. Because if you don't do that, you can eat as much fruit as you want, but the nutrients from it will not reach you.
