Salad is always a good idea!

And if the dressing is super tasty too, it's a double delight! There are so many ways to make a delicious, healthy salad dressing. The supermarket also offers plenty of ready-made salad dressings, but they are not recommended in the slightest. Since they contain a lot of sugar and fat, they quickly turn a healthy, fresh salad into an unhealthy calorie bomb.

So once again, it's all about: Do it yourself!! Anyway, that's always the best solution. Making it yourself saves money and resources, is gentler on your body, and if we're honest, most homemade things don't take any longer to prepare than some ready-made meal.

A small example: If you buy a frozen vegetable pan, fully seasoned, fully cut, oiled, and packaged, you first have to thaw it or put it directly in the pan until the frozen vegetables have thawed, the trash is disposed of, and everything is fried, you've already chopped fresh vegetables. You can also season it to your taste and especially save on salt, and everything tastes much fresher and is worlds healthier. So my appeal - only use fresh ingredients. If you organize yourself well, keyword meal prep, then everything goes in no time.

So now back to the salad sauce!

It consists mainly of peas and goes with so many things, I had raw asparagus-Brussels sprout salad! I can also imagine the dressing going great with any greens, lamb's lettuce, spinach, arugula, head lettuce, iceberg lettuce, purslane... a mix of green leafy vegetables and starchy vegetables, like carrots, corn, sweet potatoes, pumpkin (all raw and finely grated) but also watery, fruity vegetable varieties, like cucumber, tomatoes, zucchini, bell pepper, etc. go great with this dressing. In short, just throw any vegetable you feel like into the bowl, pour the dressing over it, and you're done!
