Hello everyone!

Everyone has their favorite food, and most people always keep some in reserve so they never have to go without it (at least I do). For me, that's definitely blueberries, and there's not much more I need to say about them, as you'll find out everything worth knowing in my post about blueberries.

But of course, I don't live exclusively on blueberries; there are many other raw, vegan foods that regularly make it onto my table. In this post, you'll find out what they are and what their benefits are.

Watermelon: Basically any type of melon, very refreshing in summer. Melon contains perfectly structured water, so it hydrates the body very effectively. It has a strong detoxifying effect, provides quick energy without making you feel weighed down. It also contains important B vitamins and amino acids and is otherwise a real nutrient bomb, not to mention extremely delicious.

Bananas: Bananas go with so many things and are so useful in vegan cuisine. In green smoothies, raw food cakes, cookies and baked goods, for nice cream, in fruit salad, dried, in raw food muesli or simply on their own. Depending on their ripeness, bananas provide more or less fruit sugar for quick energy, as well as potassium, magnesium, calcium and fiber. They are very filling yet do not weigh down the digestion.

Dates: There's not much more to say about these either; if you simply read my article about dates, you'll know everything about them.

Pineapple: A miracle ingredient in many smoothies, for breakfast, as a mono meal, freshly juiced, for desserts, but also in savory dishes, providing that certain exotic touch.

Apples: So sweet, sometimes sour, but definitely versatile! Every apple tastes unique, and there are so many varieties suitable for the most diverse uses. I love fresh apples with date caramel, dried as apple chips, in raw food cakes or muffins, processed into applesauce, as dried apples in winter or as apple crumble.

Leafy greens: Sooo healthy, with so much good plant-based protein and so versatile. In green smoothies (kale, parsley, mint, spinach, chard), in salads (lettuce, iceberg lettuce, chicory, purslane, lamb's lettuce), as raw food soups (kale, chard), for vegetable dishes (spinach, chard, kale) or for sauces and dressings (wild herbs, mint, cress).

Cucumbers: I eat at least 3-5 every day :) They hydrate on a whole other level! In green juice, spiralized with pasta, in salads… delicious and so refreshingly good.

Zucchini: My staple vegetable, useful for really many recipes. Spiralized as zucchini spaghetti, as an ingredient in salads, as raw food sticks, in raw food soups, stuffed… and this non-sweet fruit is also excellent for sweet dishes, e.g., zucchini cake, grated zucchini in granola, and and and…
